Taste of Michael’s Genuine Brunch
I’m happy to report that last month our friends at Michael’s Genuine decided to jump head-first into the Sunday Brunch scrum. Unlike the traditional buffet style seen at most restaurants in the Cayman Islands, Chef Thomas has introduced an à la carte menu served family style, with bottomless bubbles (champagne) at additional cost.
This is great for Clark Kent and I because; a) we get to eat everyone else’s food and, b) we don’t have to pay for booze we’re not going to drink. A twofer!
So for today’s Taste of Cayman feature of participating restaurant, Michael’s Genuine, we present you with…BRUNCH!
This year’s Taste of Cayman is January 26th at Camana Bay. Michael’s Genuine is just one of many fabulous restaurants that will be on hand with samples of their delicious fare

I love food. I take pictures of food in restaurants. I take pictures of food I cook at home. I take pictures of people eating food. I memorize recipes and exchange them with everyone I know hoping they will give me some of their recipes I can make. I take vacations based primarily on how many good restaurants I can visit while I'm there. I like playing video games where I can grow food and then cook it. Get the picture? A friend suggested that I start a food blog. So here it is....
Looking at these pictures has made me realize I’m a sucker for eggs
I’d like the tempura egg, the scotch egg, the deviled eggs, the kimchi benedict and the avocado and biltong!
I am definitely in food heaven here

My brunches never look anything like this! Wow, everything looks delicious.
Absolutely fabulous. Each one of the dishes is getting me hyped up. I particularly like the yogurt and honey. Thats something lovely and never thought of it anyway.
I like the way the yoghurt has been served in that cute little glass jar.
This is a breakfast of champions. That is all.
Everything looks awesome!
Now this is MY kind of brunch! I never eat enough at those all you can eat buffets to justify the cost. And such excellent options!
