Jerk Pork Slider

Taste of Cayman is tomorrow!  I can’t believe the event is finally here 🙂  I can’t believe how much food will be made (and consumed) over the next few days! There will be thousands of dorayaki, pumpkin ravioli, mini patties and these jerk pork sliders from the crew at Rum Point Restaurant.

Chef Salman is sharing the final recipe of The Deep Dish’s Taste of Cayman series today and let me tell you, these tiny sammiches are fantastic!  If you really want to ‘wow’ the guests that your next soiree, bang out a couple dozen of these jerk pork sliders.

Jerk Pork Slider

You will need:

·         1lb cleaned and debones Pork Butt
·         6oz Rum Point Homemade Jerk Marinade*
·         3oz Rum Point “Secret Recipe” Jerk Sauce*
·         10 Slider buns
·         Coleslaw or sliced tomato
*you can purchase premade jerk marinade and jerk sauce from the supermarket
  •   Marinate pork butt with jerk marinade for 8-12 hours
  • Remove the meat from the marinade.  Cook on a char grill or drum grill for 25- 30 mins.  You can cook in oven at 300-350F if grill not available
  • Remove from grill and let meat stand for 5 mins.  Slice fine and pile on slider buns.  Drizzle with Jerk sauce and garnish with slice of tomato or coleslaw
