Baking Club: In it, to Hallo-win it!
I really did, Baking Club.
But after four days of mixing and piping and piping and mixing, all I got was a handful of neither scary nor adorable ParaNorman Zombie Slipper cookies.
So I did what any self-respecting (super-competitve) baking club member would do to save face.
I brought in a ringer.
Cayke is the brainchild of my friend Faith. I first came in contact with her crazy cake skills at friend’s baby shower where she totally stole the show.
In between her full-time grown up job, her full-time custom confections job and her full-time being-several-months-pregnant job, Faith found time to visit The Deep Dish kitchen to give me a dummy-proof, crash course in cookie decorating
You will need:
1 cup sweet cream salted butter
3/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
Few drops of flavoring
3 cups all purpose flour
- Bake at 300 F for 15 minutes or until bottom is slightly brown
